Commemorative Ceremonies
Three commemorative ceremonies are held on the St. Lawrence River, on Mount-Royal and the Last Post Fund National Field of Honour in Pointe-Claire, QC as a tribute to Canadian and Allied Veterans and to the Canadian Forces’ Veterans.
On the St. Lawrence River
On the morning of May 30th at 9 am, a Remembrance Ceremony is taking place at the Old Port of Montreal (near Quai de l’Horloge) in honour of deceased Veterans from the Canadian and Allied Naval Forces and the Merchant Marines.

On Mount-Royal
On May 30th at 11 am, a Commemorative Ceremony takes place at the Notre-Dame-des-Neiges and Mount-Royal cemeteries where the first official burials by the Last Post Fund occurred in 1910.

At the Last Post Fund National Field of Honour
On May 31st in the afternoon at 2:30 pm, the Annual Commemorative Ceremony at the Last Post Fund National Field of Honour in Pointe-Claire, QC and November 11 marking Remembrance Day.
This ceremony pays tribute to the Canadian and Allied Veterans buried at the Field of Honour.

Directions to the Last Post Fund National Field of Honour
The Last Post Fund National Field of Honour is located behind the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery (701 Donegani Avenue in Pointe-Claire, Québec). To access the Field of Honour, proceed through Lakeview following the Field of Honour signs until you reach the Remembrance Gate which enters into the Field. Directions from Montreal:
- Take the Autoroute 20 West (from Montreal)
- Take the St. Charles Blvd Exit (EXIT 48)
- Turn right on St. Charles Boulevard
- Turn right on Amherst Road
- Turn left on Elm Avenue
- Elm Avenue becomes Donegani Avenue
- Turn left into the Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery (701 Donegani Avenue)
- Proceed through Lakeview following the Field of Honour signs to the Remembrance Gate entrance for the National Field of Honour.
The cemetery office is located in the Arthur Hair Reception Centre, next to the Gate of Remembrance.
N.B. Parking for the National Field of Honour Commemorative Ceremony:
Guests are invited to park their vehicles at the Beaconsfield train station parking lot on Elm Avenue and to use the shuttle bus service to get to the Field of Honour. This shuttle service is only in operation on the day of the commemorative ceremony.
