LAST POST FUND

OUR MISSION

The Last Post Fund’s mission is to ensure that no Veteran is denied a dignified funeral and burial, as well as a military gravestone, due to insufficient funds at the time of death.

Its primary mandate is to deliver the Veterans Affairs Canada Funeral and Burial Program which provides funeral, burial and grave marking benefits for eligible Canadian and Allied Veterans.

Acknowledgement by the Last Post Fund

We acknowledge that the land on which the Last Post Fund operates has been the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka for thousands of years. It has also served as a meeting and exchange site for many First Nations, including the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Huron/Wendat, Abenaki, and Anishinaabeg. We recognize and respect the Kanien’kehà:ka as the traditional custodians of these lands and waters. The LPF is committed to supporting the Kanien’kehà:ka, Haudenosaunee Peoples, and other First Nations, Inuit, and Métis through the IVI.
